Tagging:Back To The Rack has very specific tagging procedures. Please make sure you follow these guidelines. Maintaining a system is critical to the success of our event. You may use our template (click here-Microsoft Word document). Print on heavy cardstock. DO NOT use regular paper as they tear off easily and any item without a tag will not be sold. Another benefit to using the template is you will enter the text and printed. Your text will be very easy to read. You can easily see where your information goes if using the template. DO NOT change the arrangements of the information. If you do not want to use the template, purchase 3x5 notecards and follow directions below.
IMPORTANT: If you make ANY mistake, you will need to use another card. We will not accept any item with cross outs etc. This helps to prevent shoppers from crossing out information. It is for your benefit.
Tape index cards with clear packing tape to toys, books, videos, equipment and any other item that can not have the tag attached with a safety pin. Cards are removed at check out so please do not put them inside ziploc bags. PLEASE do not tape over the areas where you have written information. We cut the tags at the line on the card. You may also use a hole punch and attach your tag with string if you can securely attach it. Remember if the tag comes off, we can not sell the item because we do not know who it belongs to. Pricing:We suggest your price your items 25-33% of original cost. You can adjust up or down, depending on the quality, condition, and brand of the item. All prices MUST be in $.50 increments. Ex. $1.00, 2.00, 3.50.. nothing for $.75. We ask that you use a minimum of $2.00 for clothing. You can group items together to reach that minimum. Remember the last day of the sale is our 1/2 price sale. This is a very
busy sale and we suggest you let your items go 1/2 price. If you
choose not to however, please use a red ink pen or sharpie and draw a heart in
the lower corner above the price.
***Please try not to bring children to the drop off/pick up or sales event. The sales get very busy at times and it is not advisable to have children present. Babies in carriers or toddlers in strollers are ok. (strollers are still not a good option as the floors can be very crowded.) If you have to bring older children, they will HAVE to remain with you at all times.
